ephedra was gone, we had a captive audience.
Other companies
weren't so happy. They panicked and scurried to produce
"fat-loss" pills that were weak-kneed combinations
of green tea, caffeine and an orange-peel extract called
synephrine. For those of you unfamiliar with synephrine,
it's been around in the U.S. since the 1940's and it's been
scientifically proven to improve carbohydrate metabolism
in Blaberus discoidalis, otherwise known as the freakin'
cockroach! Too bad studies on humans haven't panned out
as well.
Rather than delve
in the make-believe, Biotest blew away the supplement world
and the pharmaceutical world with the development of a brand
new super-thermogenic compound, incorporated in a high-tech
gel, that's the "engine" behind HOT-ROX: 3,17-dihydroxy-delta-5-etiocholane-7-one
diethyl carbonate, mercifully named A7-E.
A7-E Super-Thermogenic
Gel is to ephedra (or synephrine) what a silicon chip is
to stone knives and bearskins. In other words, we're talking
light-years advancement in fat-loss technology.

A7-E Gel literally
cause a thermogenic chain reaction that sharply ramps up

while studying the effects of HOT-ROX, we made an accidental
discovery about its effects. If you're a student of technology,
you might be aware of how penicillin was discovered, or
plastic, or Teflon, along with thousands of other inventions
or advancements that have improved the quality of human
life. All were accidents. All were the fortuitous byproduct
of good will, good fortune, and inspiration.
And what we found
out about HOT-ROX was no different. While studying the product's
fat-torching effects on humans, we found that while subjects
were rapidly losing body fat, they were, amazingly, simultaneously
gaining lean mass, or muscle!
HOT-ROX does
not contain an anabolic agent, nor is it anabolic, per se.
Anabolism, however, is a byproduct of its nitrogen-sparing
effects.
There's another
amazing thing about HOT-ROX that we want to talk about.
Users who have, because of curiosity, opened up the capsules
were surprised to find not a powder, not a liquid, but a
pure-white gel. Upon rubbing it between their palms, they
were astounded to see it disappear into their skin! This
is part of Biotest's phenomenal new Nano-Dispersed Gel technology.
The gel is actually
a carrier system that, due to a "stored energy"
phenomenon, allows the ingredients in HOT-ROX to be easily,
efficiently, and thoroughly absorbed into the digestive
tract. There are no fillers or superfluous ingredients.
Everything in the formula is an active component. There's
never been anything like it before in the supplement business
or the pharmaceutical business, but it's just one of the
amazing things about HOT-ROX.
Raspberry ketone (RK) is an aromatic
compound found in red raspberries. In other words, it's
the stuff that makes raspberries smell like, well, raspberries.
Its molecular structure is similar to capsaicin, which is
also thermogenic.
However, instead of getting its actions
through agonizing beta receptors (like capsaicin), RK causes
HSL (hormone-sensitive lipase) to translocate to within
the fat cell. HSL is the enzyme that, once inside the fat
cell, slices apart fat molecules into various fatty acids
in preparation for fat metabolism.
Furthermore, this particular activity
is the rate-limiting step in lipolysis within the cell.
This means that you cannot have maximum lipolysis without
ample supplies of HSL inside the fat cell. And, RK delivers
just like Domino's fast!
The second novel compound in HOT-ROX
is called Sclaremax. Sclaremax is a diterpenoidal lactone
found in a plant called Salvia sclarea. It's known to be
an extremely potent adenylate cyclase activator, very similar
to that of the diterpene derivative, forskolin. In fact,
cyclic AMP assays indicate Sclaremax either equals or exceeds
the actions of forskolin, but with a much longer active
life.
Additionally, like forskolin, Sclaremax
stimulates adenylate cyclase independently of beta-2 receptors,
which means it has no limitations because it won't down-regulate
and it has a higher maximal effect. In other words, the
more you take, the greater the effect day after day
after day...
So Sclaremax essentially mimics or
acts like TSH activating adenylate cyclase in the
membrane of thyroid cells, which in turn elevates cyclic
AMP and eventually leads to thyroid hormones being released.
It may also enhance the cyclic AMP response to TSH in thyroid
cells as well.
And because Sclaremax produces an
accumulation of cyclic AMP, it will also increase nitrogen
retention. This means that it will help preserve or even
build lean-body mass (muscle) while increasing lipolysis.
Another huge bonus in comparison to
ephedra and other beta agonists is that Sclaremax doesn't
interact with beta-1 adrenoreceptors and over stimulate
cardiac tissue or raise blood pressure. In fact, Sclaremax,
in very high doses, exhibits a vasodilatory effect and slightly
decreases blood pressure.
Some other benefits of Sclaremax include
its antithrombotic and antidepressant effects, as well as
its stimulating effect on luteinizing hormone, via cyclic
AMP, resulting in the production of additional Testosterone
(in males).
To synergize the effects of Sclaremax,
we included the methylxanthine caffeine. Caffeine is a potent
competitive inhibitor of phosphodiesterase enzyme, which
is responsible for the inactivation of cyclic AMP.
In comparison to caffeine, Sclaremax
increases the formation of cyclic AMP, whereas caffeine
acts to prevent its degradation. In other words, caffeine
potentiates the effects of Sclaremax, thus increasing the
magnitude of cyclic AMP accumulation.
And since Sclaremax and caffeine increase
cyclic AMP, but via different mechanisms and not through
the beta receptor, a combination produces a powerful, synergistic
effect on lipolysis.
So you can see that, even though A7-E,
Sclaremax, guggulsterones, and caffeine have discrete roles
in the fat-loss process, they also potentiate one another's
activities, making the combination extremely powerful.
We also wanted to utilize compounds
in our formula that elevate mood and suppress hunger, especially
for carbohydrates. To do this, we included ample amounts
of acetyl-L-tyrosine and 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan to maximize
brain levels of norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin,
all of which tend to decrease while following a calorie-restricted
diet.
Maintaining high levels of norepinephrine,
dopamine, and serotonin will not only elevate mood and suppress
appetite, but:

the body is very, very poor at processing dietary carbohydrates
that are consumed in the mid to late afternoon or evening?
It's true. Studies have shown that the way the normal, healthy
body handles these late-ingested carbs is identical to the
way a Type II diabetic processes carbohydrates!
Similarly, the
body doesn't handle dietary fats all that well in the morning.
The relatively
simple answer? Eat your protein/carb meals before noon or
1:00 PM and eat protein/healthy fat meals after 1:00 PM.
